Set at the beautiful Hoodoo Ski Resort in Oregon, this 3-day camp is designed to help you build confidence with your bow, refine your shooting mechanics, and develop a reliable, repeatable shot process—all in a supportive outdoor environment.
Instruction is reserved for women participants, but the atmosphere is intentionally welcoming for families. Whether you bring your spouse, partner, or kids for a weekend of camping and community, or join us solo, you’ll find a relaxed, inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy time outdoors together.
With certified archery coach Courtney Prete, you’ll dive into foundational archery workshops, learning the ins and outs of your equipment, and gaining independence with your bow setup and sighting process. This year, we’re also thrilled to welcome expert fitness trainer Kim Palmer-Nicks of Spear Strength Wellness, who will host fireside discussions and coaching sessions on fitness and nutrition for archers and backcountry adventurers.
Your experience ends with two full days shooting on the NW Mountain Challenge 3D course—giving you the perfect opportunity to apply your skills in a fun, dynamic shooting environment. Come build your confidence, connect with a like-minded community, and create unforgettable memories under the mountain skies.

Who Is This Retreat For
Archery Camp is designed for women who want to grow their archery skills in a hands-on, supportive environment. Whether you’re brand new to archery, refining your shooting cycle, or preparing for a future bowhunting adventure, this camp will help you gain confidence, build practical skills, and deepen your connection to the outdoors.
Instruction is reserved for women participants, but the environment is family-friendly. Spouses, significant others, and kids are welcome to join for the camping weekend and enjoy the atmosphere, vendor village, and recreational shooting opportunities. This retreat is ideal for women who value learning, community, time outside, and experiences that invite adventure for the whole family.

What’s Included
Archery Instruction: Foundational workshops for women participants, covering equipment setup, shooting mechanics, and developing a personalized, consistent shooting cycle. Learn how to independently sight in your bow and gain confidence through focused range time and group coaching.
3D Shooting Experience: Enjoy two full days at the NW Mountain Challenge 3D archery course—an incredible opportunity to apply your skills in a fun, challenging outdoor setting surrounded by family, friends, and a vibrant archery community.
Fitness & Nutrition Coaching: Join Coach Kim for fireside discussions and Q&A sessions on fitness, mobility, and nutrition strategies tailored specifically to archery, outdoorswomen, and backcountry performance.
Community & Connection: Spend the weekend camping together, gathering around the fire, visiting the vendor village, and making memories with other women and families who share your passion for the outdoors.
Accommodations: We’ll be camping onsite for the weekend. Bring your trailer (limited spaces), pitch a tent, or borrow one of the tents we provide. Off Site lodging (hotels/Airbnbs) is welcome if preferred—just plan to participate fully in camp activities.

What are the arrival and departure details for this retreat?
Arrival is between 7-8am at the Hoodoo Ski Resort on July 10, 2026. Early arrival is after 3pm on July 9th. Please make sure you are early or on time on July 10th, as we will not be able to wait for you to start. Departure is 10am on July 12th.
What is the main focus of the retreat?
This camp focuses on women’s archery instruction, equipment confidence, shooting mechanics, and hands-on learning—paired with a family-friendly outdoor experience during the NW Mountain Challenge.

Do I need experience with archery?
No—women of all skill levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced shooters refining their shot process.
Will there be free time?
Yes, the weekend includes structured instruction as well as free time for relaxing, exploring, and enjoying camp life.
Will I be sharing a tent or lodging?
You are welcome to bring your own tent or trailer, borrow a tent, or stay offsite. Sleeping arrangements are flexible and based on your preference.
What are the transportation guidelines?
Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from camp.
Is airfare included?
No. Airfare is not included.
Are meals included?
Meals are not provided. Bring food as you would for a camping trip. Some on-site food options may be available.

What is the refund and cancellation policy?
If you’re unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another woman or receive a 75% credit toward a 26/27 HOJ event. If your instructors must cancel, you will receive a full refund.
