Your journey begins with a hands-on pack lesson, where you’ll learn to manty, saddle, and pack horses for true backcountry travel. Then you’ll ride two breathtaking hours into camp, climbing from 9,000 to 12,000 feet alongside expert guides Teresa Lujan (HCH Adventures LLC) and Morgan Wines (HOJ Guide).
 
At camp, you’ll settle into a real backcountry campout surrounded by sweeping peaks and untouched wilderness. No timelines. No tech. Just quiet moments, deep connection, and the grounding rhythm of the mountains. You’ll also learn classic Dutch-oven cooking — a taste of authentic backcountry life.
Evenings bring crackling campfires, stargazing, and the kind of stillness that steadies your soul.

Transportation is not included. Guests are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the retreat location.

There is no Wi-Fi and limited cell service due to the wilderness location.
 
Do I need to tip my guide?
Tipping is appreciated; 10–20% is standard in the industry.
 
Do I need to be a certain age to attend?
Yes. Participants must be 18 years or older.

How do I reserve a spot?

What is the refund and cancellation policy?
If you’re unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another woman or receive a credit for 75% of your payment to use toward a 26/27 HOJ event. If your guides cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund.
