We’ll be checking out the area on our Ebikes, taking a guided UTV adventure to Inspiration Point for a half day of breathtaking trail riding, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, hiking, relaxing and soaking in the sunshine, fresh air, and endless fun with our new friends!

Not only will we be taking in Utah on our new Bakcou Ebikes, but we will soak in the ultimate adventure vibes on our exhilarating UTV tour along awe-inspiring trails and gradually ascending the Avon mountain pass with captivating lake views. This UTV adventure reaches it's peak at Inspiration Point, a lofty elevation of nearly 10,000ft.
This 16.8-mile trail with a 5,456ft elevation gain, reveals mammoth rocky spires, craggy peaks, and stunning views. Don't forget your camera, friends!
This excursion promises an real and raw Rocky Mountain adventure, showcasing the beauty of northern Utah with unparalleled views of the Great Salt Lake, Willard Bay, and Ogden Valley.
You will also get time to relax and take in the sunshine from our beachfront home on the picturesque Pineview Reservoir. Our home in Ogden Valley offers Utah luxury lakefront views near some of the most sought after recreation in Huntsville.
Enjoy nearby hiking trails in the National Forest land directly abutting the property. This is a summer adventure with all of the must-do experiences!

Choose from a paddle board or kayak for our afternoon on the water. Enjoy this time on the lake with your favorite adventure partner or take in the views with your new found friends as we all relax and unwind.

Founder - Her Outdoor Journey

Courtney is a mom, business owner, military wife, avid hunter, host of the Soul Summit Podcast, registered guide, and passionate advocate for women in the outdoors!
Courtney's mission is to bridge the gap for women in the hunting world by creating a safe space to learn, while cultivating lifetime friendships through HER OUTDOOR JOURNEY camps and events.

Courtney's drive is fueled by helping you see your potential and encouraging you to go out and live your bucket list life!
Khrystyne Kaphan
​
Khrystyne is an outdoor adventure junkie who enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, paddleboarding, dispersed camping, off-roading, and more!
Being retired and living in Northern California gives her and her husband of 28 years plenty of opportunities to see and do the things that light their souls on fire.
Having always been passionate about living life to its fullest, Khrystyne finds it more of a priority than ever having been diagnosed with breast cancer in the fall of 2022.

You and this small group of outdoor-loving men and women will get to see the stunning landscape of Utah, cruise around on your new Bakcou Ebikes, enjoy some paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, and take an epic guided UTV tour to the stunning Inspiration Point at 10,000 feet!
Our days will be filled with lots of rad adventures and our evening will be spent connecting and sharing time with new friends at our luxurious home on Pineview Reservoir!

Take a soak in the hot tub with views most people dream of or grab a beverage and head to the yard for some fun outdoor games!
This trip will be action packed while still allowing you time to take it all in, press the proverbial reset button, connect with incredible people, and fill your cup!
All of your meals will be prepared by our in-house chefs! We'll enjoy a clean eating menu with lots of fresh wild-game as well as a few junk food options, too! We won't let any sweet or salty craving go unsatisfied! Life's too short for that.

Who is this trip for?
Men and women who are ready to say YES to adventure and a bucket list retreat with a small group of outdoorsmen and women! Any age, all walks of life welcome!

This trip is great for you and your significant other, a best friend, or a solo adventure to light your fire! This trip is not just for couples! All adults are welcome!
​

The closest international airport is in Salt Lake City, Utah!
​
What are the dates?
Retreat starts July 29th and ends August 1st, 2024.

What time should I arrive?
We recommend coming in by 4pm July 29th, and departing August 1st by 10am.

How do I get to Huntsville, Utah?
If you flew into Utah we recommend getting a rental car or if needed, send us an email for help arranging pick up and drop off from the airport!
​
How far is Huntsville from SLC International Airport?
It's about a 48 minute drive.

Do I need to pack anything special for the trip?
You will be asked to pack the basics; clothes, shoes, sandals, (close toed hiking shoes are boots are recommended for our adventures), day pack, water bottle or CamelBack for outings, toiletries, sunblock, sunglasses, swimsuit, sunglasses, and anything else you would like to make you comfortable. The rest will be provided for you!

What Ebike do I get?
Each person who attends the Utah Adventure Retreat will go home with a new Bakcou Mule ST 26 with a 21ah battery! MSRP $5,100
​
Do I get to choose the frame size and color of my new Bakcou Ebike?
Yes! You can choose your size and color based on inventory availability.
​
If I flew to this retreat how do I get my Ebike home?
We are able to offer shipping on your bike for an additional fee of approximately $180- $200.
​
Will I be required to wear a helmet?
For your safety we recommend you always bike with a helmet! One will be provided for you to use or you can bring your own.
​
Will there be cell service?
Yes, you should have access to service with most major cellular providers.
​
Will a washer and dryer be available?
Yes, we will have access to a washer and dryer!
Can I bring my camera on this trip?
You will absolutely want a way to capture this retreat "on film." The wildlife, scenic landscape, fun-filled adventure, and candid moments will be worth saving for a lifetime!

Will there be any additional charges?
You will be responsible for covering the cost of the following; retreat registration, airfare to and from Salt Lake City, any checked luggage, a 3 day fishing license ($31), gratuities to your guides (this is always optional but appreciated), any extra food and beverages you would like, shipping if you decide to have your bike shipped back for you, and any additional lodging if you choose to extend your stay outside of the specified retreat dates.

Are there any physical requirements for this trip?
No, there are no specific physical requirements for this trip, however, you will be biking, on a UTV tour, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and staying active throughout this retreat. Hikes are optional and you can pick from beginner to advanced if you choose to go.
​
What kind of fishing will we have access to?
There will be fishing equipment at the house for you to use if you would like. Besides tiger musky, Pineview Reservoir is fertile fishing ground for small and largemouth bass, bluegill, perch and crappie, rainbows, browns, cutthroat and tiger trout.
​
You are also welcome to bring your own fishing gear if you would like!
​
What are the sleeping/ lodging arrangements like?
We will be enjoying the spoils of our stunning home including a hot tub and pool to relax, unwind, and soak in the views!
​
Although this event is co-ed, men and women (unless they come together) will have separate sleeping areas! Couples who come together will have their own rooms to enjoy.
​
Who gets the master suit?
The first couple to book this retreat gets the primary bedroom for this experience!
​
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food if you would like, but we will have a couple of amazing chef's in the house to keep us well-fed and ready for adventure!
​
I follow a specific nutrition protocol or have food allergies. Can this be accommodated?
We will do our very best to work around your specific nutritional needs and are happy to work with your food restrictions or preferences. Please send an email to courtney@heroutdoorjourney.com after booking to communicate your needs.

What is the total cost of the Utah Backcountry Retreat, and what is the payment schedule?
TOTAL COST: $5,100 per person. This will be made over three payments. You’re responsible for the 30% deposit ($1,700) upon booking, an additional payment ($1,700) due by May 1st, 2024, and the remaining payment of $1,700 is due by June 1st, 2024. Payments 2 and 3 can be made with a credit card, checking account, Venmo, or PayPal. If you would like to pay in full at time of booking, email us at courtney@heroutdoorjourney.com

Will I be charged interest or any fees for not paying in full?
No, we are happy to split the total cost into three payment!! No fees, just come and have the time of your life! We are so proud of you for investing in yourself and doing the things that excite you - this is going to be the trip of a lifetime! **Please note that invoices not paid by the due date will acquire a $25 processing fee.**

What if I want to pay in full?
We are happy to work with you if you want to pay in full! Please email us at courtney@heroutdoorjourney.com to make this arrangement and reserve your booking!

What is the refund and cancellation policy?
At the time of booking your $1,700 deposit is required. The second payment of $1,700 is due on or before May 1, 2024. The third and final payment is due on June 1st, 2024. **Please note that invoices not paid by the due date will acquire a $25 processing fee.** No refunds, cancellations, or credits will be offered for this trip. If you are unable to make the trip for any reason you are able to transfer your deposit to another person or reserve a 80% credit for a 2025 event. In the unlikely event that your guides have to cancel the trip, you will receive a full refund!
