This trip focuses on helping participants achieve the Wyoming Cutt-Slam while building essential fishing and outdoor skills in a supportive and fun environment.

Women who love fishing, camping, and outdoor adventures! 
 
Do I need experience with any of these activities?
No experience is needed. This retreat is designed for all skill levels. 
 
Will there be any free time?
Yes, free hikes and alternate fishing locations will be available if participants complete fishing activities ahead of schedule.
 
Where is the trip held?
The trip will take place in Alpine, Afton, Dubois, and Rock Springs, WY, moving locations throughout the trip.

What’s the nearest airport?
At the start of the trip, the nearest airport will be Jackson Hole Airport. At the end, the nearest airport will be Salt Lake City International Airport. 
 
Is transportation included?
Transportation to and from the trip is not included unless prior arrangements have been made.
 
What are our transportation guidelines?
It is recommended that guests drive themselves and caravan together to each location. If you require transportation, please contact info@heroutdoorjourney.com  before registering to confirm availability.
 
Is airfare included in the retreat cost?
No, the airfare is not included—guests are responsible for booking their own travel tickets.
 
Are meals included?
Yes, all meals are included and prepared by the hosts.

How do I reserve a spot for the hunt?
Simply book your spot by adding the trip to your cart and completing the checkout process.
 
What is the refund and cancellation policy?
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your deposit to another participant or receive a 75% credit (of your payment) toward a 2026 HOJ event. In the unlikely event that the guides need to cancel, you will receive a full refund.
 
What Should I Pack for the trip?
Sleeping mat, sleeping bag, and pillow
Fishing rod (spinning or fly fishing)
10–15 trout lures (Panther Martins, Kastmasters recommended)
Split shot weights
Rubber boots (recommended for marshy terrain)
Optional: Waders
A detailed packing list, including a tackle list, will be provided upon registration. If you need to purchase gear, HOJ can supply a “tackle box” for an additional fee. Please email info@heroutdoorjourney.com prior to registering to make arrangements.
 
Do I need any tags, licenses, or permits?
Yes, a Wyoming fishing license is required. Additionally, an information sheet will be provided upon booking to guide you through registering for the WY Cutt-Slam with Wyoming Fish and Game.
